Our Technical Operations team is full of aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, planners, ground equipment and facilities professionals, and supply chain teams that help make sure they’re well taken care of and ready to get our customers to their desired destinations. As an Engineer- Power Plant, you’ll oversee aircraft engine management. The engineer will utilize structured, logical, and analytical problem-solving methods to address various aspects of engine design, operation, maintenance, and performance. Your responsibilities include defining maintenance programs, configuration standards, and serviceability criteria to ensure safe and compliant operations. You will analyze regulatory requirements, assess the impact of modifications or new equipment on reliability and performance, and evaluate fleet decisions to optimize cost, asset utilization, quality, and reliability. Coordinate and manage priorities to achieve project goals. Optimize maintenance programs for enhanced efficiency. Conduct reliability analyses and implement improvement measures. Ensure compliance with Airworthiness Directives. Provide support for commercial projects. Assist in troubleshooting engine issues. Monitor on-wing engine performance and initiate reliability improvements as necessary. Coordinate interdepartmentally to execute projects. Evaluate repairs and modifications to maintain compliance with ETOPS, RVSM, CAT III, etc. Offer technical engineering services, recommendations, and troubleshooting support to other divisions and personnel involved with aircraft and engine systems. Represent and engage in industry activities with regulatory bodies such as the FAA, NTSB, A4A, and other external and internal organizations pertaining to engines. NOTE:

This position is based at the CSC-Willis Tower, located in Chicago, IL, and is considered a hybrid work schedule, with three days in the office. Qualifications

What’s Needed to Succeed (Minimum Qualifications): Bachelor's degree in mechanical / aerospace engineering, related technical field, or equivalent experience Strong Engineering skill set applicable to a range of aircraft systems, maintenance programs, and engines Entry level to 5 years of engineering experience Ability to analyze sophisticated technical issues and detailed level of project management for regulatory compliance modifications. Excellent verbal and technical writing skills Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification Reliable, punctual attendance is a crucial function of the position What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications): Boeing / Airbus Structures I Certification Airframe/Powerplant License Maintenance check engineering experience on Boeing/Airbus aircraft Knowledge of 14 CFR (especially Part 121, 145, and 25) Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) The base pay range for this role is $81,700.00 to $106,368.00. The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
