Senior Corporate Counsel

The Senior Corporate Counsel provides legal advice and guidance to management and business units on a wide range of legal issues, including corporate governance, regulatory compliance matters or other legal requirements, industry standards, contracts, and litigation. Drafts and negotiates complex commercial agreements and contracts. Manages external legal counsel and coordinates legal strategies for litigation and other legal matters. Develops and implements corporate policies and procedures to ensure compliance with laws and regulations. Conducts legal research and analysis to support business decisions and mitigate legal risks. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to provide legal guidance and support on various business initiatives.
You will need to reside within 50 miles of our Corporate Headquarters in Scottsdale, AZ as this role has the option of hybrid or onsite.
Key Responsibilities
Support the General Counsel by implementing and administering short- and long-term strategies impacting the organization's legal function.
Develop and implement strategies for risk identification, evaluation, and mitigation.
Direct a broad array of legal matters, which may include: regulatory, employment, data privacy, technology, business development, marketing, intellectual property, real estate, litigation and commercial issues.
Partner with internal and external stakeholders to meet business objectives and ensure compliance with local and federal laws and regulations.
Interprets laws and regulations and provides legal advice and counsel with the goal of ensuring organizational compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Oversee the review, draft, and negotiation of complex contracts related to business needs.
Oversee the work of attorneys engaged in the preparation of legal documents or the negotiation of legal agreements.
Responsible for coordinating activities with external counsel.
Oversee governance matters and corporate record-keeping.
May also provide advice regarding data privacy and artificial intelligence laws
Required Experience
Education: Juris Doctorate degree from an ABA-accredited school.
Licensed to practice law from a State Bar Association
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in Corporate legal experience
Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) - preferred.
Previous management experience.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong negotiating and analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex legal concepts directly and clearly.
Ability to work both independently and with multiple teams
Common sense, great judgment, intellectual curiosity, and a sense of humor.
Great teammate with demonstrated skills to work effectively with colleagues and business clients.
Results oriented with a focus on customer satisfaction.
Ethical and professional integrity.
Understanding of technology with demonstrated experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements
Knowledge of wireless products and services and previous corporate in-house experience is a plus.

Pay & Benefits
Minimum Salary: $168,000
Maximum Salary: $252,000
This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
