The Service Specialist role performs assigned tasks on automation systems, including service agreement maintenance, projects, and on-call service. The position involves responding to emergency service calls during and after hours as needed and acting as the face of Siemens to help customers save energy and money while supporting a sustainable future. Responsibilities

Execute digitalization and standard service operations strategies. Collaborate with internal service teams (Service Sales, Client Service Managers, Service Coordinators, RAM Digital Service Center) to coordinate activities. Follow safety requirements and complete required training as outlined in the training path. Adhere to mandatory policies, procedures, and standards; coordinate with contractors on job sites; maintain tools and test equipment. Provide after-hours support during on-call rotation; respond to service calls (emergency and on-site) as assigned; perform repairs on automation systems as directed. Complete service ticket documentation per policy; maintain preventive maintenance schedules; document services accurately and generate reports in Siemens tools. Educate customer personnel on proper system operations and assist with training. Identify system discrepancies, suggest upgrade opportunities, and assist in pricing repairs and upgrades; perform system checkout and startup on projects. Participate in job site final walks or final completion for systems-to-service turnover on assigned projects. Develop strong working relationships with internal and external customers; identify needs and resolve issues. Work overtime as needed; compressed schedules may require extended hours. Use Siemens technology remotely, identify and quote deficiency repairs, and manage deadlines. Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

Electro-mechanical experience; PC/software skills; 1+ year of preventive maintenance and diagnostics of automation systems; knowledge of open protocols (BACnet, Modbus, TCP/IP); engineering concepts, programming, startup and checkout, and troubleshooting; ability to work in diverse environments (ladders, scaffolds, ducts, crawl spaces, roofs, basements, above ceilings); ability to carry and move equipment up to 75 pounds; proficiency with Microsoft Office; must be 18+ and have a valid driver's license with limited violations; legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED; specialized training/certification; 3+ years installing and servicing electronic control or HVAC equipment; demonstrated knowledge of building automation systems, PLCs, HVAC, electrical concepts, and building operations; PLC or BMS engineering/programming background. You’ll benefit from a variety of health and wellness benefits; pay range is $67,060 - $114,960. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget, candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and location.
