Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated
Lead HVAC Service Technician
to oversee and perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on residential and/or commercial HVAC systems. This leadership role includes mentoring junior technicians, ensuring service excellence, and maintaining strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and perform hands-on troubleshooting, service, and repair of HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, boilers, and ductless units.
Provide expert-level technical support to service team members on job sites.
Train and mentor HVAC service technicians and apprentices, promoting a culture of safety and professionalism.
Communicate clearly and effectively with customers to explain issues, proposed solutions, and maintenance tips.
Ensure work is completed according to manufacturer specifications, local codes, and company standards.
Manage service tickets, documentation, and ensure timely reporting and billing.
Coordinate with dispatch and service management for scheduling and project planning.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including company vehicle and tools.
Identify opportunities to upsell service agreements, equipment upgrades, or energy-efficient solutions.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent (technical school )
Must have 3-5+ years of experience as an HVAC technician, with at least 1–2 years in a leadership or senior role
Valid EPA Certification (Type II or Universal)
HVAC license (if required by state/local regulations)
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, and diagnostics
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in varying conditions (attics, rooftops, etc.)
Willingness to be on call and work occasional evenings or weekends
Schedule:
40 hour weeks
Either 4 days / 10 hour shifts OR 5 days / 8 hour shift
Monday to Friday
Overtime work available
Year round work
