This role is vital to the success of our retail operations. As a Customer Service Specialist, you will collaborate closely with both wholesale and retail customers, understanding their needs, answering inquiries about Sherwin-Williams products, and recommending the most appropriate solutions. Your responsibility will include swiftly addressing customer concerns to ensure maximum satisfaction while remaining well-informed about product features and maintaining the high quality and visual standards of our merchandise and stores.
Your duties will involve frequent interaction with customers, including minors, and handling cash and diverse payment methods, as well as electronic equipment and store merchandise. Therefore, a review of criminal history will be necessary for your protection and that of our customers, staff, and the community.
The selected candidate will work across various stores within a 30-mile radius of our locations at 164 Main Street, East Aurora, NY 14052, and 1975-141 Buffalo Street, Hamburg, NY 14075. Key Responsibilities: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through exceptional sales service. Assist customers in person and over the phone by identifying needs and presenting suitable products. Build trusting relationships with customers. Accurately process sales transactions. Achieve sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis. Maintain accurate work order files and formulas. Stock shelves and create appealing displays. Keep store equipment clean. Load/unload delivery trucks and assist in deliveries when required. Maintain stock levels and presentation in assigned areas. Stay knowledgeable about product offerings and available options. Follow inventory control procedures. Suggest enhancements for sales strategies. Minimum Requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age. Authorized to work in the country without requiring sponsorship. Must have a valid, unrestricted Driver's License. Ability to retrieve materials from shelves and lift up to 50 lbs frequently, 70 lbs on occasion. Willingness to work scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends. If currently employed at Sherwin-Williams, must meet performance appraisal standards. Preferred Qualifications: High School diploma or GED. One year of experience in delivery, retail, or customer service. Experience in selling paint and related products. Familiarity with tinting and mixing equipment. Ability to communicate in more than one language, preferably Spanish.
