Job Description
As part of the largest girl-serving nonprofit in the country, Girl Scouts San Diego (GSSD) mission is to build girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. With the help of more than 8,000 volunteers, GSSD serves nearly 15,000 girls in grades K-12 in San Diego and Imperial Counties.
The
Donor Data & Research Specialist
provides necessary support for the Philanthropy team to achieve the organization's annual contributed revenue goals. Serving as the Black Baud NXT Razors Edge power user for the team, the Donor Data & Research specialist helps the team understand their progress to fundraising goals through managing contributed revenue reporting and data hygiene and maintains standard CRM SOPs. The Donor Data & Research Specialist directly assists the team in achieving fundraising goals through supporting solicitation strategies and managing prospect research.
Key Responsibilities: Coordinate Philanthropy Team analytics in understanding progress to annual goals through managing contributed revenue reporting, updated weekly Set up acknowledgement letters in Razors Edge to be generated and sent in a timely fashion in accordance with set schedule for each type of campaign, appeal and donor. Help frontline team establish plans to manage their portfolios at the beginning of each fiscal year, providing ongoing maintenance and support Serve as the primary liaison between Philanthropy and Finance Departments, assuring accurate monthly reconciliation of Razors Edge with Financial Edge Support Philanthropy Team in direct and indirect fundraising goals by generating mailing lists for solicitations, invitations, and other stewardship efforts Collaborate with Philanthropy Staff to develop successful segmentation strategies for multi-channel solicitations and prospect generation across constituents and donor audiences As the Philanthropy Team's Black Baud Razor's Edge NXT power user, serve as primary liaison leading resolution of user issues, and improving department efficiency through new Black Baud Razors Edge NXT features, identified by the team and the Donor Data & Research Specialist Support data integrity efforts across the organization, communicating gift entry amendments to Finance, updating donor records, and assisting with account merges maintaining accurate up to date donor records Serving as primary user of donor prospect research tools, manage donor pipeline development through generation to improve mass solicitation strategies Generate donor profiles for organization leadership upon request Provide support for all other reporting requests as needed including those for special funding, masterplan capital projects, planned giving, special events, solicitations and moves management Other duties as assigned Experience and Skills
Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience in related field, preferred 3+ years' experience using Raiser's Edge, including database management and reporting tools or similar CRM databases, for data analysis, data entry, and data extraction Demonstrated ability in learning new database systems Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Ability to act independently, take initiative, and meet changing priorities Proven experience working in, and contributing to, a collaborative team environment Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with staff and patrons Ability to focus intently on the task at hand with the utmost attention to detail and an intense commitment to accuracy Excellent time management and organizational skills and an ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Ability to treat confidential and private information with discretion Ability to communicate effectively with individuals and groups from a culturally diverse population. Excellent problem-solving and organization skills. Ability to interact professionally with all levels of our diverse staff, external customers, and donors. Ability to work efficiently, effectively handle multiple tasks simultaneously, meet deadlines and achieve goals with minimal supervision Access to reliable transportation; daily and/or occasional travel may be required Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed Belief in the mission and values of Girl Scouting; be willing to subscribe to the principles expressed in the Promise and Law and Girl Scouts San Diego mission, vision and values.
Compensation and Benefits:
This is a full-time position based in the Balboa Park area.
Hiring Payrate: $28.13 - $30.25 per hour.
