In this role, you will collaborate closely with our Design Director, Creative Director, Junior Designers, and Technical Designers to develop compelling design concepts tailored to client needs. Your experience, with at least 4-5 years in interior design, should be showcased through a portfolio that reflects your attention to detail and design sensibility, aligning with our firm’s vision. We seek a candidate who excels in executing projects from inception to completion, covering concept development, design, space planning, unique sourcing, and comprehensive documentation for architectural intent and construction administration. At RoseBernard, our hands-on approach takes projects from concept to delivery, utilizing an interdisciplinary design methodology that adapts to the unique requirements of each assignment. As a boutique firm, we pride ourselves on our passionate team and require all employees to reside in the Bay Area and work at our San Francisco studio from Tuesday to Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays. Business Development Responsibilities: Represent RoseBernard Studio professionally within the design market. Engage in CSR projects, site visits, and key meetings. Participate actively in professional associations (IIDA, ASID, NEWH, etc.) and maintain membership. Develop and nurture vendor relationships. Research & Development Responsibilities: Monitor and communicate design trends in the hospitality sector. Research effective ways to convey design intent through presentations and renderings. Attend vendor presentations to stay informed of innovative products. Pursue individual professional development opportunities. Design Responsibilities: Assist in the development and realization of design projects under the guidance of the Lead Designer and Project Manager. Work to meet client program requirements, maintain RoseBernard studio standards, and adhere to project budget constraints. Mentor and guide Design Interns. Maintain organization of project folders, ensuring adherence to RBS Standards. Oversee the preparation of presentation packages, material boards, and other collateral. Manage the ordering of project samples and coordinate completion of specification binders. Assist in writing project specifications. Contribute to the organization and production of CSR deliverables. Qualifications and Skills: Degree in Architecture or Interior Design from an accredited 4-year program (internship experience preferred). A deep passion and understanding of the design process, particularly in color, product selection, and form. Aptitude for visually communicating design ideas through hand sketching, rendering, and 3D visualizations. Strong organizational skills with a working knowledge of AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office, and industry-standard practices. Collaborative, self-motivated, and positive attitude with strong communication skills. Exceptional customer service skills, comfortable interacting with clients, consultants, vendors, and internal teams. Minimum 5 years of experience in the Hospitality Design Industry as an Interior Designer.
