About the Role
Join our dynamic team as the Director of Information Security, where you will play a vital role in shaping our organization's information security landscape. In this key position, you will lead the creation and execution of strategic initiatives to enhance our enterprise information security program. You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining robust security policies, standards, and guidelines, as well as spearheading district-wide training efforts to raise security awareness.
Your expertise will be crucial in identifying, assessing, and mitigating information security risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining our organizational risk posture. You will guide information security and operations teams, providing insight on security matters and ensuring seamless integration of security measures into new system designs.
To thrive in this role, you should hold a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, with a Master’s degree being highly desirable. A professional security management certification, such as CISSP, is required. You should have a minimum of 7 years of experience in the IT sector, including at least 5 years dedicated to information security, with proven success in managing security initiatives within large enterprise environments. High integrity, initiative, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion are essential, along with familiarity with security management frameworks and legal/regulatory standards pertinent to the education sector.
We seek a candidate with a demonstrated history of developing and implementing effective security programs, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to connect with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
