General Statement or Primary Purpose
Primary Purpose of Position: Primary purpose of this position is to develop, coordinate and/or deliver training for the Economic Support Services Division consisting primarily of Income Maintenance Caseworkers I-III and Program Integrity staff. The primary focus is on the caseworker level and is a combination of training for new staff and experienced staff. The training consists of policy training, NC FAST systems training, customer service, plus additional soft skills training. Position will work with higher level staff concerning specific training needs. Position also helps develop resource guides and support materials for staff.
Duties and Responsibilities or Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Considerable knowledge of training theory, principles and techniques. Ability to interpret, apply, and communicate a variety of policies, procedures, and regulations. Ability to exercise sound judgment in assessing training needs, development of objectives, recommending training goals, and evaluating student learning. Ability to develop course outlines and lesson plans. Ability to adapt and communicate information to a wide range of audiences and situations. Skills in counseling and relating to others. Minimum Education and Experience
Graduation from a four-year college or university and three years of experience in a human service program, counseling, or training in the subject matter specified; or an equivalent combination of education and experience to demonstrate required skills and knowledge. Valid North Carolina driver license required. Bilinguals encouraged to apply. DD 214 is required from applicants claiming a military preference.
