Picking:
Utilizing a hand-held radio frequency (RF) scanner to accurately select products from designated bins or shelves, ensuring proper quantities by scanning barcodes, and carefully packing items for damage-free shipment. Receiving:
Responsible for unloading trucks using various equipment such as forklifts and pallet-jacks; confirming the accuracy of received orders against packing lists; inspecting all shipments for damage; properly labeling stock items and organizing storage locations. Shipping:
Preparing shipping documentation that includes weight, piece count, and freight classification; determining optimal shipping methods and scheduling shipments accordingly; ensuring compliance with Federal Hazardous Materials Regulations for proper labeling. Will Call:
Engaging with customers face-to-face to promptly fulfill orders with accuracy and efficiency. General Maintenance:
Keeping the warehouse clean and organized; inspecting tools, equipment, and storage areas for safety compliance; reporting any stock damages to management. Physical Requirements:
This position involves regular standing, walking, and lifting/moving up to 50 pounds, as well as various physical activities such as reaching, climbing, and bending throughout the workday.
