Description The Leidos Security and Engineering Programs (SEP) is seeking a Network Systems Administrator for the Center for Information Systems Security (CISS) program. This position presents unique opportunities for motivated individuals to excel and grow in various areas, including networking and system administration. The role requires flexibility in work hours based in Washington DC. Work Schedule: Monday thru Friday 0600 to 1430 Key Responsibilities Integrate new COTS/GOTS systems (network equipment, servers, workstations, etc.) into the production environment to ensure mission readiness. Manage change controls and documentation within a configuration management database (CMDB), addressing any discrepancies. Develop technical solutions to resolve complex issues across users, computers, servers, networks, appliances, and applications. Maintain a knowledge base of these solutions. Review data from a DoD Network Monitoring System and conduct proactive audits of systems to meet program requirements, including risk assessment and incident remediation. Once trained, become the go-to expert in your area of responsibility, analyzing issues and recommending remediations to management. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree with 2+ years' experience, or a Master’s degree with 1 years' experience. A High School diploma combined with 4 years of relevant experience may also be considered. Must hold a Final Secret clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret; Interim Top Secret is required for a start date. Experience with Windows Server administration tools such as AD CS, AD DNS, DHCP, etc. Proficient in Cisco, Junos, and Palo Alto configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Experience creating network diagrams using Visio or similar visualization tools. Strong understanding of general networking concepts including multicast, OSPF, BGP, VLAN, NAT, etc. Tier 3 network support experience. Proactive leader and team player with exceptional communication, management, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications Lifecycle management experience with Cisco, Juniper, and Palo Alto equipment. Familiarity with network monitoring tools such as OpManager, Solarwinds, PRTG. Experience with network analysis tools like Wireshark. Understanding of virtualization concepts. Skills in troubleshooting infrastructure equipment, including UPS systems and Ethernet installations. Experience with ticket tracking systems (e.g., Remedy, ServiceNOW, SharePoint). Prior experience in a Network Operations Center environment. Expertise in Tier 3 troubleshooting for Cisco and/or Juniper networks. Familiarity with COMSEC equipment. Join us to innovate and improve on existing systems while tackling high-stakes challenges. $57,850.00 - $104,575.00 The pay range for this position is a general guideline and not a guarantee of compensation. Additional factors in extending an offer include responsibilities, education, experience, skills, and internal equity.
