Supply Chain Sourcing Engineer
to enhance our supply network by identifying and qualifying both new and alternative suppliers. Engage in complex supply chain optimization across various technologies and suppliers. Conduct thorough evaluations, development, and selection of suppliers to align with production strategies. Identify and communicate sourcing risks throughout the product lifecycle. Collaborate closely with leadership to scout new suppliers that meet our business objectives. Work alongside sourcing, quality, and suppliers to ensure proper specifications are established. Gain insight into manufacturing technologies, advantages, and disadvantages of processes related to various commodities. Track improvements in supply risk, quality, material costs, and lead times associated with procured components. Manage and coordinate all aspects of sourcing projects aimed at enhancing supply chain efficiency. Plan and execute project timelines with guidance from management. Utilize knowledge of suppliers to execute strategies, enhance leverage, and mitigate risks as directed. Oversee the sourcing process for assigned portfolios, including market research and contract negotiations. Maintain strong supplier relationships and lead reviews to analyze new products and technologies. Resolve supplier issues thoroughly and provide recommendations when necessary. Collaborate effectively across multiple functions and time zones. Meet or exceed project timelines, financial targets, and operational goals outlined in the annual plan. Qualifications: A Bachelor of Science in Engineering is required. 3-5 years of relevant experience in product lifecycle, design, vendor management, and collaboration on new product development.
