Senior Vice President, Earned Media Strategy

We are seeking a Senior Vice President to join our Brand team in New York. If you love brand marketing and have a passion for building campaigns for globally known brands, this is the role for you. The ideal candidate will lead a large team, manage multiple brands and clients, and collaborate across offices in the US and worldwide. Responsibilities

Provide subject matter expertise in media relations and act as day-to-day senior media counsel for client programs and brand teams Lead and nurture a high-performing media team (10+ people) and coach/develop staff Build and nurture client relationships, providing leadership, direction and strategic guidance to colleagues and senior-level clients Deliver and maintain strong relationships with reporters across media categories Understand the media landscape and what it takes for a brand to breakthrough Craft narratives to place clients at the forefront of culture Solve problems, handle crises, and make quick decisions with incomplete information Ideate and shape brand campaigns that tap into culture, lifestyle and influencer trends Leverage agency resources locally, regionally and globally to serve client needs Set and uphold high standards for quality, acting as a trusted partner to clients Prepare presentations for senior client stakeholders with a persuasive and engaging style Engage in the agency culture and lead by example Collaborate with peers to advance the agency’s mission, goals and culture Balance an intense work ethic with a sense of fun in a dynamic work environment Qualifications

12+ years of experience in media relations, including agency experience on integrated communications campaigns Deep knowledge of the consumer products space with experience telling stories for lifestyle brands Strong selling and negotiating skills with ability to bring new ideas to clients Proven track record of identifying and delivering strategic storytelling opportunities that unlock account growth Strong familiarity with social, digital and influencer channels to support earned media Exceptional client service record and ability to counsel and interact with senior management Experience managing a large earned media team and juggling multiple client needs Ability to manage cross-office teams across cities and countries with integrated account teams preferred Strategic and hands-on, able to adapt to client needs Proven success in leading teams and developing talent Entrepreneurial spirit, strong leadership, and collaborative attitude Willingness to challenge status quo and continuously improve Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Proficient in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel and Word) BA or BS in Communications or related degree Benefits
