Overview
Head of Technology and AI Law We are seeking an experienced attorney with expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI) to join our legal department as a leader of our technology, privacy, and artificial intelligence legal team. This position will primarily support enterprise Technology/Digital/Operations/Shared Services ("TDOSS") initiatives while providing strategic legal guidance on AI governance, data privacy, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance in the fast-evolving AI landscape and managing a team of legal professionals. The incumbent will collaborate cross-functionally with our business units and executive teams to help guide our use, development, and deployment of AI technologies in a manner that is legally sound, ethically responsible, and aligned with emerging regulations. In this leadership role, you will develop and execute on our legal strategy in partnership with the rest of our legal department, while playing a pivotal role in providing general legal support and guidance concerning data protection, artificial intelligence, and privacy matters. This position is responsible for providing visionary leadership, direction, and oversight on day-to-day matters as well as projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and long-term goals. Key Responsibilities and Duties
Provide strategic legal counsel on enterprise TDOSS initiatives, including recordkeeping modernization, technology adoption, and organizational restructuring. Support IP strategy relating to AI, including patentability, copyright, trade secrets, other confidentiality, and open-source issues. Advise on legal frameworks for change control processes within TDOSS operations. Advise on legal issues related to the development, deployment, and commercialization of AI systems, including foundational models and generative AI tools. Advise on legal aspects of contracts that involve AI tools, privacy, data protection, and related issues. Oversee and support the drafting, review, and negotiation of complex commercial contracts, licensing agreements, strategic investments, and partnership deals involving AI technologies and data use. Draft and review contracts, technology and related TDOSS agreements, and compliance documentation. Lead and develop a team of legal professionals, including conducting performance evaluations, career development planning, and mentoring. Manage workload distribution, coordinate services of outside counsel as needed, establish team priorities, and achieve timely delivery of legal services across the organization. Monitor and interpret evolving AI legislation (e.g., EU AI Act, U.S. federal and state laws, global frameworks), advising on compliance and impact to business strategy. Educational Requirements

Base Pay Range: $270,000/yr - $380,000/yr Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
