The opportunity

Delaware North is hiring a full-time Vice President, Procurement to join our team in Buffalo, New York. As the Vice President of Procurement, you will be responsible for leading all global procurement efforts to efficiently and effectively enable spend owners such as business units and functional partners to maximize the value they receive from suppliers to meet their objectives. Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $219,300 - $301,500 / year In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. The advertised pay range represents what we believe at the time of this job posting, that we would be willing to pay for this position. Only in special circumstances, where a candidate has education, training, or experience that far exceeds the requirements for the position, would we consider paying higher than the stated range. Develop and execute procurement strategies that drive value creation, cost savings, and process improvements across a world-class supply base Select and manage procurement systems, oversee business process outsourcing, and ensure effective coordination between internal and external procurement teams Lead cross-functional collaboration and talent development, including training, knowledge management, and HR-aligned resource planning Manage procurement budgets and oversee sourcing, contracting, purchasing, supplier management, and internal support activities Establish benchmarks, scorecards, and long-term goals to drive continuous improvement and strategic alignment across procurement operations Build and maintain a Procurement Center of Excellence and partner with Global Shared Services to support enterprise-wide transformation initiatives Manage the skills and competency development of procurement team, including training and development and knowledge management Lead the procurement team in and across sourcing, contracting, transactional purchasing, supplier management, and miscellaneous internal procurement support More about you

Bachelor\'s degree in supply chain management, economics, finance, operations, engineering, or a related area; master\'s degree preferred and CPSM certification desired Minimum of 10 years of senior supply management experience, operational management experience, or experience in the primary service delivery of an organization Proven ability to deliver significant savings and value across large spend categories through effective team leadership and strategic procurement practices Possess strong operational management, negotiation, and change management skills, with a working knowledge of finance, accounting, and enterprise risk management Deep understanding of sourcing and procurement principles, modern systems, and industry dynamics, including regulatory and contractual compliance Ability to build trust and sell the value of procurement programs, and run procurement as a professional services business to operations Possess an analytical mindset with creativity to seek, encourage, and find non-traditional approaches that have historically boxed-in procurement Able to travel approximately 25% including global travel Who we are
