Estimator I

In the role of Estimator I, we'll count on you to: Develop, evaluate, compile, and present scope and cost data for construction and project estimates Work on estimates that may be order of magnitude for planning purposes, preliminary for evaluation/study purposes, or definitive for proposal or proposal comparison purposes Demonstrate understanding and ability to interrupt construction plans and specifications with respect to preparing cost estimates Take responsibility for completeness and accuracy of estimates within defined parameters Work on estimates that may reflect any part or total project, or changes to the project Coordinate with design and construction staff to obtain estimate scope and schedule data upon which to base estimates Perform other duties as needed Preferred Qualifications: Certifications (one or more): AEP, CCT, CEP, CACM, CMIT, PSP, EVP, PMI-SP, EIT Ability to interpret construction schedules Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or Construction Science Engineering or equivalent experience Fundamental knowledge of General Contracting, EPC construction methods, processes, and procedures, in addition to general construction industry methods, terminology working practices and organizational structure Familiar with Microsoft Office, cost estimating and project control software Good verbal and written communication skills An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must HDR is our company.
