Position Overview: The Sander is responsible for preparing cabinetry and millwork components for the finishing process. This includes filling, sanding, and inspecting surfaces to ensure a smooth and defect-free finish. This is a hands-on role requiring attention to detail and a commitment to quality craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
Sand cabinets, panels, frames, and moldings using hand tools, pneumatic tools, and sanding equipment
Apply wood filler and putty as needed to repair imperfections and create a smooth surface
Perform quality checks to ensure surfaces meet finishing standards
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications:
Experience in sanding, woodworking, or a related field preferred
Ability to identify and correct surface imperfections
Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials as needed (up to 50 lbs)
Reliable, punctual, and a team player
