Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose problems and maintain a variety of material bulk handling equipment
Assist in the transportation and movement of mechanical bulk handling equipment
Assembles and installs equipment such as drive motors, conveyors, and pulley assemblies
Perform stick welding and/or cutting torch operations as needed
Aligns machines and equipment for proper operation
Assembles machines, and bolts, welds, rivets, or otherwise fastens them to foundation or other structures
Repairs and lubricates material bulk handling machines and equipment
Examines protective guards, loose bolts, and safety devices on equipment, and makes adjustments
Operates a variety of equipment such as cutting torch, welder, forklift, hand tools and electric meters
Lubricates moving parts, examines and operates repaired equipment to verify equipment conformance to specifications
Performs activities of co-workers as directed
Take direction and report to direct supervisor (Terminal Maintenance Supervisor). As a member of the general maintenance crew, perform duties pertaining to the maintenance crew; grease/lubricating bearings, rollers, belts, O/H crane bucket, crane cable repairs etc.
Discharging of Vessels.
Other functions as trained and assigned
Requirements:
Regular work attendance is required
Must be willing to work shift and/or overtime hours during the week and/or weekends as dictated by operations
Must possess and maintain a valid motor vehicle operator's driver license and have the willingness to use personal and/or company vehicle in the course of employment, must be able to obtain a TWIC
Must be able to work with a team, take direction from supervisors, keep required work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work rules
2-5 years experience with conveying, material handling systems
