Based on experience and discussed during the interview Requirements: Must be a US Citizen and pass a Federal Background Review and drug screen. Duties/Responsibilities: Conduct daily inspections and prepare reports on construction projects at federal facilities ensuring compliance with contracts, design documents, and specifications. Provide practical recommendations or necessary changes to government personnel regarding contract plans and specifications throughout all construction phases. Monitor contractor's quality management system and execute the three-phase inspection process. Oversee construction sites and assist owners in resolving issues effectively. Review, deliver, and manage change orders, modifications, RFIs, and submittals. Keep track of contractor schedules and review their payment requests for accuracy. Verify the accuracy of as-built drawings and ensure QA and safety plans are followed by the contractor. Utilize the Resident Management System (RMS) for tracking and reporting. Education/Experience: Minimum of High School Diploma/GED; a construction-related degree is preferred. At least 10 years of relevant experience in managing large, complex federal projects, preferably within the Department of Defense. Experience across a wide array of trades, including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, roofing, and general building construction. Familiarity with the Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) standards is preferred. Proficiency in using RMS 3.0 is a plus. Experience with the three-phase inspection process. Knowledge of OSHA standards and EM 385-1-1 USACE Safety Manual is preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Ability to interpret contract drawings and specifications. Strong interpersonal skills for effective client and contractor interaction. Must possess a valid driver's license and an insurable driving record. Physical Requirements: Must be physically mobile in and around construction sites. Able to carry required instruments and equipment. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
