Company Description
Our client is a growing Mono-Line Workers Compensation Insurance Company. They specialize in writing middle-market workers compensation accounts throughout the Southeastern US.
Role Description
The Controller will be responsible for overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, and internal controls.
It directly manages a staff of 3 (accounting, AR, AP).
This position will be involved in strategy discussions and decisions on company growth and direction.
As the company grows, this role could be groomed into the CFO for the larger holding company.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation is a plus
Minimum of 7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with at least 3 years in within the insurance industry.
Strong understanding of statutory accounting principles (SAP), particularly for property & casualty insurance; workers' compensation experience strongly preferred.
Salary and Benefits
Base salary of $150,000-$160,000 + bonus
