Rake it all In: Help Older Adults Rake Their Yards

Help older adults in the Clintonville, Beechwold, and University District areas keep their yards clean this fall! Village in the Ville connects older adults in the Clintonville, Beechwold, and University District areas to volunteers willing and eager to help them keep their yards clean of leaves and other debris. By helping to maintain their yards and homes, our volunteers help to ensure our aging neighbors can remain a part of our community for as long as possible! So, if you're someone who enjoys fall weather, the outdoors, and playing in the leaves, all while helping to make a difference in your community, then this volunteer opportunity may be for you! You can sign up individually or as a small group, and families are certainly welcome! Once you sign up, you'll receive an email from a Village staff member connecting you to an older adult that needs help maintaining their yard. Tasks may include raking leaves, clearing sticks, and other things. Timing is flexible, but volunteers should plan to set aside 1 to 3 hours for volunteering. Prior to the volunteer date, Village staff will make sure all tools and necessary yard waste bags are at the service site.
