Job Summary: Responsible for performing a wide range of skilled mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks to support manufacturing operations and plant facility needs. This is a hands-on, moderately physical role that requires diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical/electronic, hydraulic, and combustion malfunctions
Determine and implement effective repair procedures to prevent recurrence
Navigate and interpret ladder logic using SLC 500, PLC 5, and ControlLogix systems for troubleshooting
Modify positions and diagnose faults on ABB robots (Models: M94, M98, M2000, M2600, M6700)
Install, relocate, and align new and existing manufacturing equipment
Set up and operate machine shop equipment with moderate accuracy and efficiency
Perform gas and electric welding tasks as needed
Complete machine repair records and maintain clean, organized work areas
Execute preventive and proactive maintenance routines
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or team leader
Required Skills and Experience:
Minimum 4 years of experience in maintenance involving Allen Bradley, hydraulics, robotics, and welding
Proficient in troubleshooting die casting machine cells using PLC systems and both electrical and hydraulic schematics
Experience with ABB robot programming and diagnostics
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical schematics and diagrams
Strong working knowledge of both gas and electric welding techniques
Education Requirements:
Completion of technical/vocational training or some college coursework in relevant fields (certification or equivalent)
