Purpose Statement
The Sanitation Team Leader will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety within our facility. This position not only ensures compliance with sanitation regulations but also identifies areas for improvement in our manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate plant sanitation procedures and regulatory requirements to ensure safe and quality production.
Ensure adherence to all standard operating procedures while effectively documenting plant operations.
Implement control programs, performing regular checks to confirm compliance and optimal cleanliness.
Familiarize with production procedures and verify the correct implementation of sanitation practices.
Assist management in problem resolution by maintaining a thorough understanding of relevant programs and procedures.
Report necessary operational information and ensure that all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety standards are met.
Participate in GMP inspections, addressing any discovered deficiencies and coordinating timely corrections.
Perform additional related responsibilities as required to meet organizational objectives.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED is required.
A minimum of three years of experience in a food processing, pharmaceutical, or chemical manufacturing environment, preferably with computerized manufacturing equipment.
Three years of experience in sanitation and leading sanitation teams.
Knowledgeable in FDA regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), HACCP, and pest control.
Ability to analyze problems and implement effective solutions within a manufacturing context.
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude, including skills in equipment assembly and disassembly.
Must be able to perform physical tasks such as lifting, standing, and climbing as part of daily responsibilities.
Ability to communicate effectively and respond to team concerns in a factory setting.
