Job Description
PROCON
is hiring an
Information Technology Manager
to lead strategy, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and support for 170 employees, including 50 remote users across active job sites. You’ll manage 3 direct reports and report directly to the executive team.
Responsibilities
Build and execute a 3-year IT roadmap aligned with company priorities
Advise executive leadership on technology direction (monthly briefings)
Own department budget, vendor negotiations, and contract renewals
Evaluate and implement technology with measurable business impact
Manage hybrid infrastructure: on-prem servers + cloud platforms
Maintain Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policies, RDS
Configure and manage Dell PowerEdge, Nimble dHCI, EqualLogic SAN, Sophos firewalls
Oversee backups (Datto), disaster recovery plans, and system health
Keep all networks operational across headquarters and field locations
Administer endpoint protection, mobile device management (Maas360), MFA
Monitor threats and handle incidents (LAPS, Kaseya)
Run security audits and support compliance reporting (SOC2, etc.)
Oversee Tier 1–3 support for 170 users and remote locations
Lead onboarding/offboarding and hardware asset management
Maintain IT documentation: runbooks, internal how-tos, procedures
Track help desk metrics and streamline ticket workflows
Lead IT projects: infrastructure upgrades, software rollouts, new site deployments
Coordinate interdepartmentally for business-wide technology initiatives
Manage RFPs, implementation plans, and vendor performance
Qualifications
10+ years in IT, with 3+ years managing infrastructure and staff
Supported 100+ user environments across multiple locations
Hands-on with virtualization (VMWare or Hyper-V), networking (VLANs, VPNs, switches), and cloud/hybrid systems
Managed Microsoft environments: Windows Server, Active Directory, Office 365
Familiar with procurement, budgeting, and vendor relationship management
Built and maintained IT documentation and end-user support processes
Presented project plans and technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders
Hardware: Dell PowerEdge, HP Nimble dHCI, Sophos, Aruba,
Software: Sage CRE 300, AutoCAD, Revit, Procore, Primavera P6, MS SQL, VMWare, Office 365
Tools: Datto, Intune, Kaseya Suite, Crystal Reports
Systems: RDS, Azure, Windows Group Policies, OpenDNS, VoIP, iOS devices
Experience in construction, design-build, or architectural environments
Comfortable handling both strategic planning and day-to-day tech operations
