Position Overview: Stormberg Foods LLC is seeking a skilled PLC Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair programmable logic controllers (PLCs), automated equipment, and electrical systems in our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with automation systems, preventive maintenance, and electrical controls, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency of production operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair PLC-controlled equipment, automated systems, and electrical issues.
Perform regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and calibration of PLCs, sensors, actuators, and other control devices.
Collaborate with supervisors, and production teams to resolve technical issues and improve system reliability.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic, and technical documentation.
Maintain detailed maintenance logs, records, and documentation of all work performed.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, food safety regulations, and company policies.
Provide technical support and training to maintenance and production staff as needed.
Assist in installation, commissioning, and upgrades of automated equipment and control systems.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED Required
2+ years of experience in industrial maintenance with PLCs and automated systems.
Understanding and experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical systems
Understanding and experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems
Experience with HMI (Human-Machine Interface) systems, VFDs, sensors, and industrial networks.
Proficient in troubleshooting electrical circuits, control systems, and mechanical equipment.
Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and ladder logic.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights or weekends if required.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, bend, lift, and work in a fast-paced production environment.
Comfortable working with machinery, tools, and electrical equipment in a manufacturing setting.
Schedule & Compensation:
Full-time, Monday to Friday with occasional overtime/weekend work.
Competitive hourly rate or salary (based on experience).
