Warehouse and Shipping Clerk . Salary/Hourly Rate: $23/hr - $26/hr Position Overview: In a production and warehouse environment, the Warehouse and Shipping Clerk will be aggregating, preparing and shipping out materials including hazardous materials via FedEx and UPS. Most shipments will be domestic. The Warehouse and Shipping Clerk will need to follow HACCP, GMP and Food Safety regulations as well as general safety protocol when operating a forklift and unloading cargo. Responsibilities of the Warehouse and Shipping Clerk:
Execute daily parcel dispatches via FedEx and UPS, ensuring all packages are processed efficiently and accurately.
Maintain and update customer profiles and shipment data within carrier platforms.
Relocate inventory and supplies within the designated shipping zones to support workflow.
Prepare outgoing goods by securely packaging, labeling, palletizing, and applying shrink wrap as needed.
Generate shipping documentation including carrier-specific paperwork.
Inspect shipping containers, drums, and pallets to confirm they meet quality and safety standards.
Safely load and unload freight from trucks and containers, following proper handling procedures.
Ensure cleanliness and organization of both the shipping prep area and carrier vehicle cargo spaces.
Uphold internal protocols and operational standards at all times.
Take on additional tasks to support team objectives.
Assist with compliance efforts related to HACCP, Food Safety, and GMPs.
Collaborate cross functionally with other teams including Production, Labs and Customer Service to solve any issues or help improve process flows.
Required Experience/Skills for the Warehouse and Shipping Clerk:
4 - 5 years in a regulated warehouse or production environment shipping materials with at least 1 year of experience handling Hazardous (HazMat) Materials.
Comfort operating a forklift, prior forklift experience preferred.
Basic mathematics and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel) skills.
Ability to lift 50-65lbs.
Positive attitude and friendly demeanor.
Significant experience working in supportive, close knit teams.
A desire for learning and personal development.
Education Requirements:
High school diploma or GED.
