We are seeking a diligent, proactive Collections Supervisor to join our dynamic team in Plainview, NY. The Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing high-delinquency accounts and ensuring that all collection efforts and resolution avenues have been thoroughly pursued.

This role includes preparing and presenting weekly delinquency reports to the Manager, with a particular focus on accounts in red-zone areas.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to de-escalate challenging conversations, monitor and track payment activity, and drive effective account management strategies.

Role Responsibilities:

Make 100+ inbound/outbound calls daily to collect outstanding payments and resolve overdue accounts

Document all interactions accurately and update account statuses

Communicate professionally with clients to negotiate payment arrangements

Analyze customer accounts and resolve discrepancies

Takes necessary actions and employ strategies for debt repayment

Assist team members and ensure they are supported in their role

Oversee staff in handling customer inquiries via phone and email

Train, mentor, and evaluate staff

Reports weekly and monthly status of customer collections

Focus on Red-Zone areas

Handle special projects as assigned

Handle complex or escalated accounts and disputes

Qualifications:

Proven Supervisor experience in collections or customer service

Customer-centric orientated

Planning, scheduling, assigning, reviewing work

Handling sensitive or complex issues; explaining policy and compliance

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong negotiation skills

Collaborative mindset and professionalism

Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Knowledge of Property management and eviction process

Familiarity with contact-center software

Excellent analytical aptitude with a proven ability to analyze/interpret data
