Job Summary:
We are seeking a friendly and dedicated Dining Services Server to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service in our dining facilities, ensuring a positive dining experience for all guests. The Dining Services Server will work collaboratively with kitchen staff and management to deliver high-quality food and service in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive in the dining area.
- Present menus and provide detailed information about menu items, specials, and dietary options.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently, including special requests.
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely manner, ensuring correct presentation and quality.
- Clear tables promptly and reset for the next guests, maintaining a clean and organized dining area.
- Assist with meal preparation and presentation during peak dining hours.
- Respond to guest inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure accurate and timely delivery of orders.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, including floors, tables, and service stations.
- Follow health and safety regulations related to food handling and sanitation.
- Work as part of a team to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed.
- Participate in training and staff meetings to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in food service or hospitality preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused attitude.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to [insert weight, e.g., 25 lbs].
- Knowledge of point-of-sale systems or cash handling procedures is a plus.
