Electronics Production Supervisor About the Role: Join our dynamic manufacturing team as an Electronics Production Supervisor, responsible for leading and optimizing daily operations in our assembly department. You will play a crucial role in overseeing employees who build specialized control cabinets for electrical switchgear systems, ensuring quality, efficiency, and a safe working environment. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the daily activities of a skilled team of electronics assemblers and technicians in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing setting. Balance quality, productivity, safety, and team morale to meet and exceed production goals and reduce lead times. Control resources and materials to ensure timely and accurate job completion while maintaining high-quality standards. Monitor and adjust workloads and roles as necessary to achieve performance targets. Interpret electrical schematics and BOMs to ensure proper assembly processes are followed. Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance throughput and quality. Provide coaching, guidance, and support for team members to foster career development and advanced skills in electrical assembly. Track employee attendance and manage timekeeping records effectively. Facilitate strong employee relations through mentoring, issue resolution, and training. Assist in performance evaluations, trial hiring processes, and disciplinary actions. Lead training programs focused on enhancing skills, improving production metrics, and minimizing waste. Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing safety protocols and conducting investigations into any incidents. Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure smooth production flow and address any material design issues. Monitor and report on production schedules, managing departmental performance metrics accordingly. Support new product introductions through troubleshooting, reviewing instructions, and team training. Qualifications: 5-7 years of progressive experience in an electronics manufacturing environment. A minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a skilled manufacturing setting. High School diploma or GED; Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred. Strong understanding of custom electrical assembly and the ability to read and interpret schematics. Intermediate proficiency with MS Office and ERP/MRP systems. Excellent problem-solving and communication capabilities. Demonstrated leadership in continuous improvement methodologies, including Lean and Six Sigma. Physical Demands: This role operates in both an office and production floor environment, involving light lifting (occasionally up to 25 lbs) and requires stooping and standing during floor supervision. Compensation and Benefits: Typical pay ranges from $72,980 to $94,915 annually, based on experience and qualifications. This position is also eligible for a Quarterly Incentive Pay Program.
