Fleet Engineers a Tramec Company, is currently seeking an Inventory Specialist / Production Planner for their operations located in Muskegon, MI.

Shift: Monday - Friday 6:00 am - 2:30 pm but hours could vary based on cycle counting needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Plans, schedules, and determines priorities of job orders. Distributes job travelers to the shop floor.

Monitor workload and capacity constraints. Expedite operations as needed.

Works closely with department supervisors in monitoring and resolving production issues.

Reviews completed job orders to ensure material is issued and quantity is put into inventory before closing.

Monitor customer forecasts and release jobs accordingly.

Participates in continuous improvement projects.

Monitor inventory and ensure optimal customer service to meet customer on time delivery.

Participate in daily production meeting.

Identify and resolve problems relating to inventory.

Conduct daily cycle counts working in conjunction with material handlers.

Verify inventory counts and compare to the inventory management system records.

Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical counts and system records.

Other duties as assigned by Plant Manager.

Requirements:

REQUIREMENTS:

Prior experience as a production planner in manufacturing

General knowledge of MRP and manufacturing principles

Flexible and have a willingness to work with changing situations while maintaining a positive attitude

Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP system

Team player to help positively motivate others and support a lean culture
