6%-8% of base hourly rate paid for eligible hours worked Responsibilities: Assist maintenance technicians with mechanical issues and serve as a backup as needed. Foster a positive work environment within the maintenance department and across the plant. Review equipment maintenance logbooks to ensure proper documentation. Communicate effectively with production leadmen and operators to provide necessary support. Collaborate with operators to enhance their understanding of machine mechanics and preventative maintenance. Train new maintenance technicians and help them acclimate to our processes. Engage with tank room staff to verify that all water processing equipment remains operational. Ensure the maintenance team is responsive to tank room needs and issue work orders when necessary. Monitor the ammonia chilling system; provide training to fellow technicians in this area. Inspect temporary repairs made to machinery and initiate work orders for permanent fixes. Lead the effort to organize and complete all equipment rebuilds punctually. Assist with new construction, equipment installations, and special projects. Act as a backup to the maintenance manager when needed, which includes reviewing and approving payroll, supporting night crews, and addressing mechanical or staffing issues. Qualifications: Experience in maintenance roles with knowledge of computer-operated machinery, industrial electrical systems, and welding. Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills along with mechanical aptitude. Able to manage multiple tasks while delivering exceptional results. Detail-oriented team leader and educator. Proactive self-starter who can work both independently and as part of a team. Basic computer skills are required. Familiarity with recording and maintaining essential reports like preventative maintenance logs and work orders. Willing to work flexible shifts as necessary to meet production needs. Able to adapt to changing priorities and conditions. Capable of lifting a minimum of 60 pounds. Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
