We are seeking an experienced
Night Shift Fabrication, Welding & Coating Supervisor
to lead a team of skilled fabricators, welders, and powder coating operators. This hands-on leadership role requires strong technical knowledge, the ability to maintain production schedules, ensure quality control, and uphold a safe, efficient work environment during night operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Oversight
Supervise night shift operations for fabrication, welding, and coating departments.
Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
Coordinate with day shift supervisors for smooth operational handoffs.
Fabrication & Welding Management
Oversee cutting, bending, assembly, and welding processes.
Ensure welding work meets established quality requirements.
Assist in production as needed to maintain workflow and deadlines.
Powder Coating Supervision
Monitor powder coating application, curing, and finish quality.
Inspect and maintain powder coating equipment for optimal performance.
Quality Control
Conduct inspections on materials and finished products to identify defects or non-conformances.
Document inspection results and communicate improvement needs.
Safety & Compliance
Enforce safety protocols and ensure OSHA compliance at all times.
Promote safe work practices and proper PPE usage.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate records of production, materials, and inspections.
Provide nightly production and performance reports to management.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years’ hands-on experience in fabrication, welding, and powder coating.
At least 2 years in a supervisory or team leadership role.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot production challenges.
Knowledge of quality control inspection processes for metal products.
Solid understanding of safety regulations and best manufacturing practices.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Standing, bending, and working on your feet for extended periods.
Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environment.
PPE required (mask, gloves, steel-toe boots, protective eyewear).
