JOB SUMMARY
Our Assembler II / Inspector combines the roles of component assembly, machine operation and quality control. They are responsible for assembly, operating production equipment while simultaneously inspecting products for defects or deviations from standards, ensuring both efficiency and quality in the manufacturing process. In essence, the operator/inspector role is crucial for ensuring both efficient production and high-quality products by combining the responsibilities of an operator and a quality control inspector.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Operating and Maintaining Machinery:
Setting up, operating, and maintaining production lines and equipment to ensure optimal functionality and minimizing downtime. Assembly:
Combining individual components, parts, or materials to create a finished product to the customer specifications. Quality Inspections : Inspecting in-process components, and finished products for defects, dimensional accuracy, and adherence to specifications Identifying Defects and Non-compliance:
Recognizing and documenting any defects or deviations from specifications and reporting them to relevant teams for resolution. Documentation and Reporting:
Maintaining accurate records of production data, inspection findings, and equipment status. Ensuring the proper functioning of inspection equipment through calibration and basic maintenance. Adhering to Safety and Quality Standards:
Following safety regulations and procedures during operation and inspection. Abiding by safety regulations, company policies, and quality guidelines to maintain a safe and efficient work environment. Collaboration:
Working effectively with other team members, departments, and, in some cases, customers or auditors, to optimize production and quality control. REQUIRED SKILLS
Technical Skills: Ability to operate and maintain production equipment, understand technical specifications, read blueprints, and use inspection tools. Attention to Detail: Keen eye for identifying defects and deviations from standards. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and analyze a problem, develop and evaluate potential solutions, and work with a team to implement the most effective course of action. Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with supervisors, technicians, and other team members. Physical Stamina: Ability to perform repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods. Basic Math and Computer Skills: Necessary for data recording and basic calculations. QUALIFICATIONS
