Job Title: Client Fetal Ultrasound Technician Profession: Client Fetal Ultrasound Technician Specialty: - Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 40.00 Experience: Three (3) years of experience performing complex OB/GYN or vascular scans. License: American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Registered in OB and OB GYN. Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification, Fetal Echocardiography (FE) preferred. Must-Have: - Client Fetal Medicine experience. - Familiarity with fetal echocardiography, MCA (Middle Cerebral Artery) dopplers, valve dopplers, and fetal anatomy. - Ability to independently perform fetal echocardiograms and Doppler assessments. Description: Assists the radiologist in performing invasive diagnostic techniques specialized to maternal fetal ultrasound processes. Provides standardization and training regarding these exams. Consults with patients and evaluates any contraindications, such as medications or insufficient patient preparation. Performs ultrasound procedures under general or direct supervision, as defined by the procedure and/or physician. Conducts essential maternal-fetal ultrasound examinations, such as detailed anatomical evaluation, complete fetal echocardiogram, growth assessment, and fetal wellbeing assessments. Performs needle procedure guidance, examinations of maternal pelvic anatomy, and advanced diagnostic 3D/4D techniques. Records anatomical, pathological, and physiological data for interpretation by a physician. Assists the supervising physician with invasive procedures as required. Analyzes sonography findings throughout the examination to complete a comprehensive exam and provide sufficient data to the physician. Recognizes situations or abnormalities that require direct observation of the real-time scan by the radiologist. Images structures while simultaneously obtaining Doppler signals and recording images and Doppler shift recordings along with patient information. Advises the radiologist or referring provider of results of the examination and provides preliminary information regarding diagnostic evaluation of the maternal-fetal scans.
