Key Responsibilities
Lean Leadership & Continuous Improvement
Operational Management
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement throughout the value stream
- Facilitate Kaizen events and root cause problem-solving activities
- Train and coach team members on Lean tools, best practices, and process efficiency
- Labor & Timekeeping Oversight
- Monitor and improve KPIs: safety, quality, delivery, and cost
- Plan and adjust daily production schedules to meet performance goals
- Conduct regular Gemba walks and utilize visual management systems
- Team Development & Leadership
- Ensure timely and accurate approval of timecards and PTO requests in ADP
- Partner with HR to manage staffing levels and maintain production targets
- Monitor attendance and escalate hiring needs as necessary
- Communication & Reporting
- Provide consistent coaching, feedback, and performance management
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and cross-training
- Recognize strong performers and address underperformance in partnership with HR
- Safety Management
- Present performance metrics to leadership using tools like Excel and PowerPoint
- Lead daily team meetings and participate in plant tours or customer visits
- Ensure clear, effective communication across English and Spanish-speaking team members
- Promote a culture of safety and ensure compliance with safety policies
- Conduct regular safety audits and trainings
- Required Qualifications
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (written and verbal)
- Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, or related field OR 35 years of manufacturing leadership experience
- Proven knowledge of Lean manufacturing tools and continuous improvement methods
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data reporting tools (Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint)
- Excellent time management, problem-solving, and organizational abilities
