Position: Human Resources Generalist

Reports to: Human Resources Business Partner

Luxfer Holdings PLC completed the divestiture of its Graphic Arts business to Vulcan Metals Specialty Products, Inc., on July 2, 2025. Luxfer Graphic Arts will continue to operate as a leading magnesium plate casting and rolling business and will become part of the consolidated Vulcan Metals Corporation.

Vulcan Metals is a provider of highly engineered, large, complex, mission critical steel casting. Their castings are used in critical structural components for applications in rail, military, heavy equipment, oil and gas, power generation and other industrial markets. Vulcan Metals has operations in Atchison, Kansas; St. Joseph, Missouri; Tacoma, Washington, and London, Ontario, Canada. Vulcan’s Corporate Office is located in Kansas City, Missouri. Primary Responsibilities

  • Maintains high standards of confidentiality of all employee records and information
  • Assists employees and supervisors with interpretation of HR policies and procedures
  • Leads the mid-year and annual performance review process
  • Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations
  • Facilitates or provides training to the workforce
  • Maintains and coordinates employee recognition programs
  • Assists with payroll and benefit duties
  • Assists with recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, and temporary employees
  • Works with hiring managers to create each recruiting plan
  • Reviews applications and interviews applicants to match experience with specific job-related requirements
  • Conducts new-employee orientations
  • Conducts exit interviews, analyzes data and makes recommendations to the management team for corrective action and continuous improvement
  • Leads and support continuous improvement efforts
  • Manages Learning Management System (LMS) and coordination of training modules and data analysis for reporting

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, Human Resources or related field preferred. PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred
  • 3+ years of HR generalist experience required in manufacturing setting
  • Previous continuous improvement or lean manufacturing experience preferred
  • Payroll experience required
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Trustworthiness and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • HRIS knowledge
  • Great teamwork and collaboration
