DEFINITION: The dishwasher supports a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen by ensuring all wares such as plates, utensils, glasses, and cookware are properly washed, sanitized, and stored. This role also maintains cleanliness of the dish area and assists with basic kitchen tasks as assigned to keep
ESSENTIONAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:
· Pre-scrape, sort, rack, wash, rinse, sanitize, and air-dry all wares
· Keep dish area clean, organized, and safe; clean floors, keep drains clear, wipe work surfaces, and clean spills
· Restock cleaned wares to designated stations, ensuring communication is held to maintain par levels
· Handle wares carefully to minimize breakage and store wares properly
· Respond to peak-time demands with a sense of urgency; communicate needs with kitchen and FOH teams
· Report equipment issues, safety hazards, or supply needs to the Kitchen Manager immediately
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
· High school graduate or equivalent desired.
· Prior dishwashing or food preparation experience desired.
· Ability to communicate clearly with patrons and staff.
· Must be able to work flexible hours
· Reliable attendance and punctuality
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:
Must be able communicate clearly and listen attentively to supervisors, employees, and guest instructions.
Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for long periods of time.
Must have the ability to lift pots, pans, etc. up to 30 pounds in weight.
Must be able to follow directions.
Must possess dexterity for using small tools and equipment.
