Join Capital One as a Senior Manager of Network Security Engineering and play a critical role in safeguarding our enterprise network infrastructure, regional hubs, and cloud environments. We are seeking a skilled Cyber Security professional to design and implement robust network security solutions that enhance our security posture and empower our team with best practices. In this role, you will leverage your extensive experience in Network Security and operational resilience to supervise the deployment and automation of security services, ensuring they align with defined standards. You will lead a dedicated Connectivity Security Engineering team, committed to establishing secure boundaries for all product teams within Capital One. Key Responsibilities: Drive the development and implementation of security engineering solutions across a distributed hybrid cloud and datacenter environment. Collaborate with Architecture teams to set standards for internal, cloud-hosted services, and third-party access to Capital One systems. Ensure strict adherence to network engineering processes and guide strategic direction in line with business objectives and industry best practices. Facilitate the deployment of new technologies and features to meet changing business and lifecycle requirements. Engage closely with Operations teams to guarantee that designs and changes are executed in a supportable, resilient, and scalable manner. Work in partnership with the cyber organization to assess security risks, identify mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with relevant security configuration standards. Liaise with various teams across the company to understand their needs and strategic direction, adapting infrastructure support accordingly. Lead key initiatives, design reviews, and process improvements spanning various network technologies and sectors. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or military experience. At least 5 years of experience with Network Security products (e.g., Firewall, Proxy, WAF, NAC, VPN). At least 5 years of experience with network design and routing protocols. At least 4 years of experience in people management. Preferred Qualifications: 5 years of experience leading teams using Agile methodologies with tools like JIRA or Version One. 2 years of experience with scripting and automation (Python, Ruby, BASH, Powershell). 2 years of experience migrating technologies and implementing them in a hybrid or public cloud environment. 6 years of experience with network security (Firewall, Proxy, VPN, and/or WAF technologies). 6 years of experience implementing network services in public cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP). 3 years of experience with network hardware. 2 years of experience with Service Now, Infoblox, and Snowflake. 1 year of experience with SDWAN and Fabric technologies. Certifications: Palo Alto (PCNSE, PCCSE, or PCSAE), CISSP, AWS, CCSE, CNSA or CSAE. This role offers a competitive salary range of $204,900 - $257,200 based on location and is eligible for performance-based incentive compensation including cash bonuses or stock options.
