Project Manager - FP&A Full Time Role New York, NY
Here's how you'll become a key player with this opportunity:
The FP&A Project Manager will be responsible for preparing and optimizing financial analyses, assisting with the budget process, and leading various department initiatives. Your work will support the firm’s ability to understand profitability, manage expenses, and oversee financial projects.
Here’s how you’ll make an impact on the team:
Identify and analyze new ways to evaluate firm profitability, including developing business models for practice areas
Support key strategic initiatives with financial modeling and data mining analysis
Develop approaches to integrate information from multiple sources to improve business intelligence
Provide system support for data extraction and loading across aggregate storage systems
Prepare visual presentations of complex data to support decision-making
Generate weekly, monthly, annual management reports, and ad-hoc analytical reports for management
Assist with the annual budget and reforecast processes, including summary analyses and presentations
Conduct monthly expense analyses comparing actuals to budgets across departments, offices, and projects, with variance explanations
Serve as a finance liaison with branch office and department heads to enhance financial analysis
Manage project improvement initiatives across multiple departments
Adhere to firm policies related to maintaining and protecting firm and client information, complying with information security policies, and reporting any security events or risks
Here’s what you’ll need to be successful in this role:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance or Accounting
At least five years of experience in a senior financial role
Knowledge of SQL and law firm database structures
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Oracle Hyperion Essbase
Familiarity with various information technology and accounting systems (Elite 3E experience is a plus)
Comprehensive analytical and problem-solving skills, including profitability, cost accounting, and financial modeling experience
Proven project management, written, and oral communication skills
Strong interpersonal and business writing skills
Proactive, results-oriented, with strong organizational skills
Ability to interact with all levels of firm personnel and client contacts
Capable of working independently and in a team environment
Pay Range:
$130,000 - $160,000 annually
