Base pay range $45,000.00/yr - $48,000.00/yr This role works under the supervision of the Director of Individual Giving to perform basic data management such as data cleaning and processing, enter donor and gift information, and ensure the database effectively captures constituent and gift information. The position supports the solicitation and stewardship of gifts and contributes to production of fundraising reports and qualified lists as needed. Duties and Responsibilities

Actively contribute to a volunteer-powered culture by partnering with volunteers during every shift and helping create an inclusive, welcoming environment Work alongside volunteers to complete daily tasks in a collaborative manner Support recruitment and onboarding by welcoming new volunteers and helping them get oriented Help retain volunteers by offering encouragement, guidance, and feedback Recommend strong volunteers for deeper involvement or specialized roles Contribute to a positive culture by recognizing volunteer contributions Explain tasks clearly, provide hands-on guidance, and offer in-the-moment support to volunteers Ensure accurate and consistent entry of gift (online and offline) and donor data Receipting and acknowledging donations according to IRS guidelines Manage records for a full spectrum of gifts and relationships (e.g., single/recurring gifts, tributes, pledges, in-kind gifts, employer matching, foundations, donor-advised funds, events, bequests, invoices, and more) Assist with management of gift-adjacent functions for pledges, gift asks, memberships, tasks, and tags Perform data health tasks (duplicates, household merges, address/phone/email corrections, profile data) Pull reports from multiple platforms and manipulate donor/non-donor data for import Collaborate with the Philanthropy Coordinator on public-facing email, in-kind gifts, and email template creation Assist with gift and donor reports and the production of qualified lists, pledge reminders, thank you letters, and donor invoices as needed Communicate with the finance team about processes and donation reports Recruit, train, and steward volunteers to support data entry and administrative tasks The above statements describe the general nature and levels of work and are not an exhaustive list of duties. Qualifications

At least one year of experience with a CRM, accounting system, or other database, or a degree in a relevant field Advanced to expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets; comfortable running reports and manipulating data Strong database management principles and ability to apply them to APA! systems Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving mindset Ability to quickly learn new technology Organized with ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities Ability to work independently and with others Working knowledge of online giving platforms, processes, and forms Professional demeanor and respect for donor privacy with strong written and verbal communication Commitment to working courteously with the APA! community of staff, volunteers, fosters, adopters, and donors Expectations
