Arcadis is seeking an entry-level Civil or Environmental Engineer to join our team in Milwaukee, WI. This role is slated to start in June 2026. Candidates graduating in May 2025 are encouraged to apply. We are looking for a candidate with strong organizational and team building skills, who feels comfortable with a dynamic workflow. As part of our Resilience Environment team, youll help improve quality of life. You will work alongside Senior Scientists, Project/Program Managers, and Technical Experts on various activities in support of diverse environmental assessment and remediation projects. This opportunity supports our growing emerging contaminant project portfolio and remediation capabilities. Role accountabilities
Assisting Project Managers (PMs) and Task Managers (TMs) with planning and performing environmental site characterization, investigation, and remediation tasks. Civil/Environmental engineering design including land development planning, hydraulic modeling/calculations, erosion and sediment control evaluations and layout, and earthwork site design. Assist with developing permit/construction-level drawings and details, preparing technical specifications, and construction cost evaluation/estimating. Prepare subcontracts and oversee the work of subcontractors. Perform fieldwork with a focus on health and safety and which may include soil, sediment, surface water and/or groundwater sampling, geotechnical investigations, and construction oversight. Writing and preparing technical reports, work plans, letters, and memoranda. Office work may include task coordination, data compilation and interpretation, cost estimates, health & safety plan preparation, report writing, regulatory file reviews, proposal writing, project strategy development, schedule and budget management, and establishment of subcontracts. The successful candidate will be involved in interpreting and evaluating field and analytical data to prepare engineering designs, permit applications, and construction-related documents. Environmental remediation design tasks, including soil and groundwater remedial system and in-situ technology treatment design and assessments, are also part of this role. Travel and field work are required. Qualifications & Experience: Required Qualifications
Bachelors of Science in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or closely related field (i.e., environmental, biological, physical science) Preferred Qualifications
EIT Certification Master of Science degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering or closely related field Current OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training Experience with engineering software tools such as AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D, HydroCAD, WinTR-55, PondPack, HEC-RAS, ArcGIS Compensation, Benefits & Inclusion
