As a District Manager, you will play a crucial role in fostering an environment that embodies our mission and commitment to outstanding customer service, manager development, merchandising excellence, and seamless store operations. You will lead a team of stores to surpass sales goals and enhance customer experiences by taking ownership of both customer-facing and operational divisions. Collaborating closely with your Regional Vice President, Regional Human Resources, and Store Support Center Partners, you'll drive year-over-year growth, ensuring exceptional profitability through optimized staffing, shrink control, and expense management.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales:
Achieve and exceed district sales targets.
Inspire and develop your team to create a customer-centric selling culture that fosters strong consumer relationships.
Partner with store leaders to strategize and execute successful community outreach events.
Enhance the skills of leadership teams to ensure memorable customer experiences through top-notch service, product knowledge, and adherence to merchandising standards.
Analyze market trends to meet key metrics and sales goals while boosting overall performance.
Collaborate with Store Support Center partners to discover new sales acceleration opportunities.
People:
Coach your team in promoting customer engagement and expanding our rewards program.
Develop a comprehensive people strategy focusing on hiring, succession planning, development plans, and annual reviews.
Attract and retain top talent, maintaining turnover at or below the set goal.
Hold leadership teams accountable for meeting sales and operational metrics through consistent recognition and constructive feedback.
Recognize and nurture top performers while building a pipeline of future leaders through ongoing development efforts.
Work with Store Managers to ensure staffing levels align with business needs and budget.
Ensure your stores reflect the diverse demographics of the local community.
Operations:
Review store schedules to guarantee adequate coverage during peak times, facilitating meaningful customer experiences.
Lead teams in executing product strategies, ensuring effective merchandise presentation and promotions.
Monitor merchandise stock levels and presentation to meet customer needs and adhere to company visual guidelines.
Utilize company reporting to manage department categories effectively and ensure all Store Managers have clear reporting insights.
Collaborate with the Store Support Center to address merchandise requests promptly.
Prioritize store visits based on business demands, adapting your schedule as needed and summarizing visits in a District Manager Visit Guide.
Meet all deadlines set by Regional Vice President or Store Manager.
Additional Responsibilities:
Exhibit a high degree of professionalism in communication, teamwork, and customer interaction.
Maintain a standard of quality in work, attendance, and appearance.
Be available to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to extend hours when necessary.
Comply with all local, federal, and state laws, as well as company policies and safety regulations.
Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal employment laws.
Be prepared to travel up to 80% of scheduled shifts.
Accept additional responsibilities as assigned by the Regional Vice President or Store Support Center partners.
Perform any other duties as determined by management.
