About the Role
The university is seeking an inspirational Dean for its Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences division. The successful applicant will provide strategic leadership, fostering a culture of academic excellence while promoting interdisciplinary collaboration. As a Dean, you will oversee the advancement and implementation of innovative academic programs, ensuring top-quality research and scholarship activities. You will also be responsible for effective budget management and resource allocation for the division.
In this prominent role, you will represent the division externally, engaging with stakeholders and advocating for the crucial importance of arts, humanities, and social sciences in education and society at large.
To be considered for this pathway-shaping opportunity, applicants must possess a Ph.D. or an equivalent terminal degree in a relevant field, along with a distinguished scholarly record and solid experience in teaching and academic administration. We are looking for a visionary leader who can motivate faculty, staff, and students while possessing excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion within academia and have an in-depth understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities for the arts, humanities, and social sciences today. Experience in fundraising is highly desirable, as is a dedication to the mission and values of the division.
