Compensation will be commensurate on level of knowledge and years of relative experience.
We have an immediate opening for a well-seasoned Business Development Representative for The Roof Depots New Construction Division. You will drive revenue growth by cultivating and expanding relationships with builders, general contractors, and developers across the Southeast. Youll leverage your sales expertise, leadership skills, and in-depth product knowledge to service existing clients and acquire new ones, ensuring The Roof Depot remains the premier choice for roofing and siding solutions. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of proven B2B commercial roofing, siding and/or building materials sales experience combined with solid leadership, client engagement and communication skills.
Job Requirements & Qualifications
Leadership & Sales Skills:
Excellent leadership, management, and interpersonal skills. Proven B2B sales or business development experience (5+ years), ideally in roofing, siding, or building materials.
Communication & Organization:
Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities. Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate.
Technical Proficiency:
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) or related software and a CRM platform (Salesforce ). Able to read and interpret architectural drawings and project specifications.
Compliance & Safety:
Must complete and pass a pre-employment drug test. Comfortable working at heights, climbing ladders and roofs of varying pitches, and tolerating loud noises and extreme weather conditions.
Travel:
Willingness to travel up to 2550% of the time, including overnight stays.
Strategic Relationship Building
Identify and prospect new homebuilders, contractors, and commercial developers. Nurture and expand existing accounts by understanding client needs and aligning our offerings.
Revenue Growth & Market Expansion
Develop territory-specific sales plans to hit quarterly and annual targets. Analyze market trends and competitor activity to uncover opportunities.
Client Engagement & Support
Serve as the primary liaison for key accounts, coordinating site visits, project kick-offs, and progress reviews. Interpret drawings and specifications to ensure accurate proposals and seamless project execution.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Marketing to craft targeted campaigns, proposals, and presentations. Coordinate with Operations and Supply Chain to guarantee timely material availability and delivery.
Reporting & Forecasting
Maintain detailed CRM records, pipeline forecasts, and activity reports. Present monthly performance updates and strategic recommendations to leadership.
Education & Experience High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelors degree in marketing, Sales, Business, or a related field
OR
at least five years of relevant industry experience.
