This role is vital in overseeing the production, peer-review, and editorial strategy of our professional journals and multimedia content, including renowned publications such as Diabetes and Diabetes Care. You will represent our organization as the primary liaison with editors, committees, and vendors, ensuring that our publication policies align with our mission to enhance diabetes care and research. The ideal candidate will manage the budget and operational strategies for our various publications, podcasts, and supplemental materials. You will collaborate closely with the marketing team to promote our scientific content and engage with key stakeholders in the diabetes and obesity communities. As a leader, you will inspire and guide a remote team to publish high-impact research and innovative educational content. Your responsibilities will include: Establishing strategic policies for online and print publishing, advertising, and subscription models. Creating and managing budgets that meet financial performance objectives. Negotiating key agreements for content development and dissemination. Leading a team dedicated to publishing high-quality diabetes research and educational materials. Monitoring performance metrics and implementing strategies for continuous improvement. Developing new content and partnerships to expand our reach and impact in promoting diabetes education and care. Building relationships with volunteers, opinion leaders, and industry representatives. The ideal candidate should possess: A Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred). Over 15 years of experience in producing health-related and research-oriented content. 10 years of direct management experience in a membership-based organization. A strong background in healthcare publishing, preferably with journals and podcasts.
