Work Place Flexibility: Onsite Legal Entity: Entergy Mississippi, LLC JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE:Responsible for execution of transmission & substation construction/maintenance projects providing technical support, oversight, scheduling, monitoring, coordination, and management updates.JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:Oversee & monitor the safety and performance of contractors and company personnel ensuring crews work safely, efficiently and effectivelyEnsure all facilities and assets are installed and commissioned per the established design and in accordance with company standards and confirm with diagnostic testing or inspectionWork closely with other construction OCs, Engineers, Operations, and local construction/maintenance groups to ensure scheduled work/outages are optimizedWork with management, planner schedulers, and engineers to prepare pre-job scope, develop work packages, determine material requirements, and develop cost and T&E estimatesParticipate in design and constructability reviewsDocument as-built drawings during construction and adhere to configuration management proceduresFollow up on the closure of projects ensuring LWMS/SWMS are properly updated and any instruction manuals are developed & availableCoordinate material orders and deliveries, equipment staging and set-up, jobsite readiness, and switchingAssist with preparing site specific hazard identification plansComplete post job audit and ensure jobsite cleanup is complete to include appropriate accounting of excess materials to be either returned to stores or properly moved to another project using appropriate processes and approved proceduresMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Minimum education required of the positionHigh School Diploma or equivalent or related work experienceAssociate Degree or higher preferredMinimum experience required of the positionMinimum 5 years of transmission/distribution line, substation, or project experienceMinimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilties:Technical Knowledge of procedures, maintenance, and operations of transmission & distribution lines Knowledge of transmission line, substation, or relay equipment, material, and construction practicesUnderstand and be able to communicate with others in transmission, substation, or protection disciplines.Strong knowledge of computers and related technologyStrong communication and organizational skillsAbility to take and understand directives and complete tasksExcellent leadership skillsStrong decision making skillsAbility to manage multiple activities and changing prioritiesAbility to work well under pressureSelf motivated and dependable team playerAbility to recognize hazards in the workplace and have the ability to mitigate the hazardsAbility to maintain and care for Company equipment properly and safeguard assetsAbility to meet the public in a pleasant and tactful manner and understand the importance of delivering a high level of customer serviceDemonstrated acceptance of a diverse and inclusive work environment and customer baseDesired:Ability to recognize opportunities for process improvement and have the ability to enact changeAbility to lead and participate in problem solving teams as requireAny certificates, licenses, etc. required for the positionNone#LI-NC1Primary Location: Mississippi-Jackson Mississippi : Jackson Job Function: ProfessionalFLSA Status: Exempt Ind Relocation Option: No Relocation OfferedUnion description/code: NON BARGAINING UNIT Number of Openings: 1Req ID: 120021Travel Percentage:50% to 75%An Equal Opportunity Employer, Minority/Female/Disability/Vets.
