Job Details:
Key Responsibilities: Program, set up, and operate CNC lathes with live tooling capabilities. Develop, edit, and optimize conversational and G-code programs to improve efficiency and quality. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions to ensure accurate part production. Select proper tooling, set offsets, and adjust feeds/speeds as needed. Utilize precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, etc.) to perform in-process and final inspections. Troubleshoot machining issues, identify solutions, and maintain high-quality standards. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to meet deadlines and customer specifications. Maintain equipment, tools, and a safe, organized work environment.
Qualifications:
5+ years of CNC lathe operation and programming experience, including live tooling. Strong knowledge of conversational programming and G-code. Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpretation of GD&T. Skilled in using precision measurement instruments. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and mechanical aptitude. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Technical degree or machining certification preferred but not required.
