We are looking for a SharePoint Systems Specialist to provide essential support to the National Media Exploitation Center (NMEC). In this role, you will manage infrastructure services, operations, and maintenance across various classified levels, with remote administration for centralized data center server farms. You will deploy, operate, and maintain SharePoint services while assisting with site setup, permission management, troubleshooting, and responding to service requests from customers and content managers.
This position calls for someone technical, detail-oriented, and customer-focused with a solid understanding of SharePoint. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential to effectively capture and respond to customer inquiries.
This is a 100% on-site position. All work must be conducted at the customer site in Bethesda at the Intelligence Community Campus.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with customers to resolve service inquiries and issues.
Implement, troubleshoot, and maintain IT systems effectively.
Swiftly differentiate between isolated user issues and broader enterprise-level problems.
Explore methods for direct integration with Identity Management (IdAM) technologies.
Support users with migrating from older SharePoint versions to SharePoint 2019 or SharePoint Online.
Manage permissions for new and existing site collections and associated lists and items.
Control access to O365/M365 applications, including Microsoft Teams, Microsoft OneDrive, and SharePoint Online.
Conduct data searches and purges from operational systems as needed for cyber security.
Assist in managing the asset library, risk database, and business rhythm calendar to enhance stakeholder awareness.
Work with customers and stakeholders to gather data, conduct analyses, and develop solutions for incident tickets and requirements.
Prepare follow-up reports detailing technical findings, resolutions, and improvement initiatives.
Support customer needs in a 24/7/365 mission environment.
Update operations documentation to assist IT Operations personnel with after-hours troubleshooting of common SharePoint issues.
Basic Qualifications Proficient in SharePoint technologies including SharePoint 2013, 2016, 2019, and SharePoint Online.
Experience in configuring, installing, and securing SharePoint systems.
Knowledge of managing SQL clusters in support of SharePoint farms.
Familiar with patch maintenance for SQL clusters.
Understanding of PKI authentication and claims-based authentication.
Experience with load balancers such as F5 BigIP or Citrix NetScaler.
Experience managing M365/O365 cloud offerings.
Knowledge of patch maintenance procedures for SharePoint farms.
Willingness to perform routine and scheduled maintenance tasks.
Familiarity with Change Management fundamentals.
Tier 2 system administration experience.
Strong troubleshooting skills in dynamic environments.
Experience with incident reviews and trend analysis.
Excellent time management skills.
Effective oral and written communication abilities.
Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Experience with ITSM ticketing systems like ServiceNow.
Must meet DoD 8570.11 IAT Level II certification requirements.
Education/Experience Requirements A Bachelor's degree and at least 4 years of relevant experience; additional years of experience may substitute for a degree.
Clearance Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph required OR active TS/SCI and willingness to obtain a Polygraph.
U.S. Citizenship is required due to the nature of the government contracts we support.
Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with Nintex, InfoPath, and PowerBI for workflow management.
Experience with managing SPPatchify for SharePoint farms.
Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert or equivalent certifications
