Automation Engineer

The Automation Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of control systems for automated machinery and equipment. They are responsible for optimizing production processes, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the efficiency of control systems. Key tasks include programming, system testing, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. This individual should also be fully capable of programming a wide range of devices such as: HMI, PLCs, Robots, Vision System, Servos and VFD's. A Day In The Life Optimizing production processes Troubleshooting various issues Ensuring the efficiency of control systems Programming devices such as HMI, PLCs, robots, vision systems and various others Collaborating cross-functionally with other engineers and site employees What will help you thrive in this role? Bachelors degree in an engineering discipline required Previous Auto-CAD experience is required Programming experience (PLC's, HMI, robots, etc.) strongly preferred Previous SAP experience preferred 1-3 years in a previous automation position preferred Hubbell Incorporated Hubbell creates critical infrastructure solutions that power our customers, communities, people and the planet.
