Application Developer

Do you have a strong initiative to solve problems? The function of this position is that of an Application Developer who will work closely with our teams to plan, develop, implement and support our mission critical ERP systems such as Oracle's PeopleSoft HCM and FSCM applications. As an integral member of a team of cross-functional developers, this position will ensure the stability and uptime of our enterprise systems and any relevant third-party applications ensuring that the service and business needs of the entire organization is met. Do these things interest you? Working with PeopleSoft Integration broker, creating, modifying, and maintaining application packages, working with general API's? Development technologies - Oracle SQL+, XML, HTML, PeopleCode, PeopleTools, Application Designer, Application Engine, workflow, SQR, Integration Broker, Component Interfaces. Team dynamics - dispersed/virtual hybrid team with cross departmental collaboration requirements. The position will be located in Norman with a flexible and/or remote option possible for experienced candidates. Essential Duties Utilizes development tools to design, implement and maintain processes that involve XML, Java, HTML, BI Publisher, Web Services, PeopleCode, Application Engine, workflow, Integration Broker, SQR and interfaces. Provides application support including system/batch monitoring and processing, handling user questions and queries, investigating and solving system problems, support with third party integrations, providing on-call services to support systems. Performs business analysis to gather customer business requirements. Prepares and maintains functional and technical specification documents. Works as a member of the technical team to apply software or system upgrades. Develops SQL queries as needed to verify data in database tables. Performs unit and system testing when needed. Works with team leaders and other colleagues to assure compatibility and consistency among various system modules and applications. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices, trends, and applications. Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position. Qualifications Required Education: Bachelor's degree. Required Experience: 48 months experience in application and software development and/or custom solutions. - Equivalency/Substitution: Will accept 48 months related experience in lieu of the Bachelor's degree for a total of 96 months related experience. Skills - Knowledge of software design and programming principles. Knowledge of programming for diverse operating systems and platforms using development tools. Ability to program in at least one programming language. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Ability to work independently and as a team member. Customer service and interpersonal skills. Strong initiative to solve problems. Departmental Preferences - Experience with Oracle SQL+ and PeopleTools - Experience with PeopleSoft Application engine, SQR, Component Interfaces, PeopleCode, XTML and HTML. PS Integration broker - PS application packages - General API Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $55.00/hr.
